Job Description
The Utilities Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining utility and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on utility and facility equipment.
- Ensure high equipment availability while supporting energy efficiency initiatives.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize downtime through timely repairs.
- Identify and implement equipment improvements to enhance reliability, quality, and operational performance.
- Support facility, utility, and capital improvement projects as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Accurately document maintenance activities in SAP PM, including work order confirmations, spare parts usage, and equipment history.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and operational objectives.
- Demonstrate ownership of personal and workplace safety by following safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or behaviors.
- Ensure accurate time and attendance reporting.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- Associates degree in Engineering, Electrical Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics Technology, or a related technical field; OR
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant maintenance experience in lieu of a degree.
- Maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
- Experience maintaining utility systems, facility equipment, and power distribution systems.
- Working knowledge of Siemens and/or Johnson Controls PLC systems.
- Experience with Metasys building automation software.
- Knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM).
