About the Team
DoorDash is looking for an experienced Manager, Meetings & Events Sourcing to help build and lead the sourcing strategy for our growing global Meetings & Events program across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo. This role sits within Global Travel & Expense and will focus on the travel, sourcing, supplier, policy, and commercial components of meetings and events. As our global footprint and meeting activity continue to grow, we are looking for a candidate who can bring structure, strategic sourcing expertise, and strong supplier management to an increasingly significant area of travel spend. This role will partner closely with Workplace & Real Estate, Strategic Sourcing, Finance, Executive Assistants, business leaders, and our travel and meetings suppliers. While Workplace & Real Estate owns workplace strategy and office-based event programming, this role will own the sourcing and travel ecosystem supporting meetings and events—including hotel room blocks, external meeting venues, group transportation, supplier negotiations, and the connection between group and transient travel.
About the Role
You will report to the Head of Global Travel & Expense and serve as the global DRI for Meetings & Events sourcing.
You will be responsible for building a scalable sourcing framework for company meetings, offsites, and events, including hotel and venue sourcing, contracting support, group travel strategy, preferred supplier relationships, and development of a global Meetings & Events policy.
A key focus of the role will be connecting our group meetings volume with our broader transient travel program. You will identify opportunities to combine hotel, air, and transportation volume to strengthen supplier negotiations, improve preferred-program performance, reduce costs, and create a more consistent employee experience.
This is not an event-planning or workplace-programming role. Success will be measured by the strength of our sourcing strategy, supplier performance, financial outcomes, policy adoption, risk management, and visibility into global M&E spend.
This position may work remotely within the US, with an East Coast location preferred to support collaboration across North America and EMEA.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Build and own the global Meetings & Events sourcing strategy across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo, including hotel room blocks, meeting venues, group transportation, and preferred supplier partnerships.
- Develop and implement a global M&E policy and sourcing framework, establishing consistent contracting, approval, compliance, and risk management standards.
- Drive measurable savings and cost avoidance through strategic negotiations, supplier consolidation, and leveraging combined group and transient travel volume across hotels, airlines, and transportation.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including Workplace & Real Estate, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Executive Assistants, and business leaders to deliver scalable sourcing solutions and improve the employee experience.
- Establish reporting, KPIs, and supplier performance management to increase visibility into global M&E spend, track savings, mitigate contractual risks, and continuously improve program efficiency.
We’re excited about you because…
- 6+ years of experience in Meetings & Events, strategic sourcing, corporate travel, or hospitality, with expertise in global meetings and group travel.
- Strong sourcing and negotiation skills, including hotel room blocks, venue contracts, attrition, cancellation terms, and supplier management.
- Proven ability to drive savings and cost avoidance through preferred supplier programs, spend analysis, and leveraging combined group and transient travel volume.
- Experience developing M&E policies, sourcing strategies, and scalable processes, with strong project management and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with experience managing global stakeholders and leveraging technology and AI to improve efficiency.
