Our Mission
You call. You wait. You call again. In every other part of your life, you book in seconds. In healthcare, you’re blocked.
We’re here to give power to the patient.
For nearly 20 years, we’ve built the leading healthcare marketplace - helping tens of millions of people find and book the care they need. Now, we’re going further: building our infrastructure beyond Zocdoc’s marketplace topower access to care wherever patients search, from provider websites and insurance directories to search engines, AI platforms, and more.
Healthcare still lacks something every other major consumer industry takes for granted: a seamless way to go from seeking to getting. We don’t want to own the front door to care; there isn't one. We want to make sure all of those doors open when patients are knocking.
Fixing healthcare starts with fixing access to it. And we're still just getting started.
Your Impact on Our Mission
We think the way businesses approach customer growth needs to be reinvented. We want someone who’s excited to help figure out what comes next.
For years, lifecycle marketing has been built around campaigns, segments, channels, and predefined journeys. But customers don’t follow the paths we create for them. They discover, adopt, and experience products on their own terms. And as AI changes how people interact with technology, those behaviors are evolving faster than ever.
We believe the future of growth is understanding what customers are trying to achieve, recognizing when we can help, and finding intelligent, creative ways to deliver value.
As Director, Provider Lifecycle Growth, you’ll have the opportunity to build that model at Zocdoc. You’ll rethink how we help providers discover, adopt, and realize value from an expanding set of capabilities.
This is a hands-on builder role. We don’t expect you to arrive with all the answers. We do expect you to challenge assumptions, move quickly, and be excited about discovering what works. You’ll report to the VP, Provider Growth and help define what lifecycle growth looks like in an AI-first world.
Your day-to-day is...
- Building the strategy, roadmap, operating model for Lifecycle Growth, translating them into shipped capabilities and measurable outcomes.
- Reimagining lifecycle as a continuously learning growth system with experiences that adapt to provider context, needs, intent, product behavior, and readiness.
- Partnering with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to build the data, instrumentation, models, and platform capabilities that power lifecycle experiences.
- Establishing a measurement framework that connects provider experiences to incremental business impact and using the findings to change what the system does.
- Recruiting, leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing team; setting a high bar and building the functional discipline to scale.
- Prototyping and testing new approaches including AI-enabled decisioning, personalization, and automation that improve provider and business outcomes.
You’ll Enjoy This Role If You...
- Are excited to build a new growth function from the ground up; its strategy, technical foundation, team, and operating model.
- Have a strong POV on how to move beyond segmentation, fixed journeys, and campaign calendars toward experiences that respond to provider context, intent, and behavior.
- Like working at both altitudes: setting long-term direction, coaching a team, and solving the problems in front of you today.
- Thrive in highly cross-functional environments and enjoy bringing Marketing, Product, Sales, Customer Success, Data Science, and Operations together around one provider experience.
- Are energized by AI-native ways of working and by making growth more adaptive, useful, and scalable without losing sight of customer value.
- Believe growth is about helping providers realize value, not just running campaigns or managing journeys.
You’ll Be Successful in This Role If You...
- Bring 10+ years of experience leading lifecycle, CRM, growth, product-led, or customer marketing in a B2B SaaS, marketplace, or multi-product environment.
- Have 5+ years of people management experience, including hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Are technically fluent and comfortable working directly with data, APIs, AI tools, automation, or prototyping environments.
- Are an AI-native, practical builder who already integrates AI into how you work.
- Have built growth capabilities end to end, from customer insight, data, and decisioning through experiences, experimentation, measurement, and scale.
- Are analytically self-sufficient: investigate data, define meaningful metrics, design tests, interpret results, and separate activity from business impact.
- Partner effectively across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, and Customer Success to turn strategy into shipped capabilities and outcomes.
- Create structure and momentum in ambiguity, balancing immediate opportunities with a longer-term vision.
- Communicate with clarity and influence, from aligning senior stakeholders to giving teams focus and momentum.
