Auto Property Damage Litigation Adjuster /Senior Consultant I -Remote

Job Description

As an Auto Property Damage Litigation adjuster, you will be investigating automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles, which result in property damage with attorney representation/litigation involved. You will assess coverage, liability, and damages while providing exceptional customer service throughout your day. Customer and attorney communication will take place through different channels, including voice calls, email, and text messages. Through the utilization of innovative platforms and tools, you will engage in negotiation processes to reach fair settlements with all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluates, negotiates and settles complex unrepresented, represented and/or litigation claims in accordance with business unit best practices
• Collaborates with defense counsel to establish negotiation and litigation strategies
• Establishes and adjusts reserves, documents rationale and claim summary notes
• Manages, researches, and resolves communications, concerns, conflicts or issues
• Documents a claim file with notes, evaluations and decision-making process

Experience

• 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

Remote Home-Based Work:

• This position is a permanent remote home-based role. Your home office does not need to be near an Allstate office, but it does need to be in the United States. This position is not available for California, Alaska, Hawaii, or Washington residents.

When you work from home full time, you’ll need:

• A home office – a dedicated workspace in your residence that is private and free from distractions.
• A minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5 MB up.
• Appropriate work surface and seating.

What will Allstate provide?

• A technology bundle that includes all equipment needed to perform your work from home (laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, mouse).
• Connectivity reimbursement of $80 per month to offset some of the cost of internet.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• As a condition of employment, your office/area may require you to obtain an adjuster and/or an appraiser license which includes passing an additional background check with the Department of Labor. If applicable, you will be required to secure license(s) within 60 days of hire. 
• If required, the Hiring Manager will work with you along with the Centralized Licensing team to ensure that you are properly licensed. 

Notice of Licensing Requirement: 

• As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
• Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team. By proceeding with the application process, applicants acknowledge and accept these licensing requirements and agree to comply.

Compensation

Base compensation offered for this role is:

Casualty Claims Adjuster Sr Cons I: $83,000 - $107,500

Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable for the role.
